Hi Burt,
BLESS YOU (in a non-religious but most appreciative manner)!
Your link, THANKS, was the first cartoon that I have watched in over 40 years (the last being an episode of 'Mr. Peobody and Sherman' and it was wicked witty and insightful as indeed 'after all this is America.' I also really enjoyed your DOG comment a while ago. I am of the belief that miracles are in the minds of the beholder. As for that precious Ms. Springfield, 'You don't have to say you love me
Just be close at hand.
You don't have to stay forever
I will understand.
Believe me, believe me.'
Hi edwardd1,
I'm very pleased that I was able to brighten your day.
However, I give credit to a someone, a something much greater than myself -- but that's just me.
If you have read any C.S. Lewis, he came to the conclusion that < paraphrased > , " Either this Jesus Christ guy was an expert on mass-hypnosis, or the stuff written actually happened.
In many ways, I really don't like the fact that I believe in God -- It really caused me a lot of unnecessary suffering in this life. And, I think the whole she-bang < religion > is kinda stupid and deadly when misused.
However, I've been locked up several times in jail and insane asylums so I really don't have much left. That’s why I grasp for straws from the invisible side of life.
I don't know why it is, but we are built and meant to serve eachother and make eachother happy.
I always thought that was kind of stupid too... because most times the people you love and serve end up kicking you in the teeth.
That's why I hang out here.
Cheers,
Burt B.
