Lisa and Everyone,
As the BellaOnline meditation editor I'd like to share that when I lived at
Yogaville for a year, we took the main meal at 1pm after meditating at the LOTUS temple at noon.
At each mealtime prayers and silent meditation came first, while we awaited our meal. For a traditional meditation the eyes are closed and the body is quiet and still.
But, there are moving meditations where the eyes are open and the body is moving, among them walking meditation. But, even then, no nourishment is partaken while moving.
I'd recommend that our readers make a routine to meditate before eating - after all,
it is hard to eat when your eyes are closed and you are not moving your body. LOL.
Blessings and happy meditating, Susan
