Mine is weird but I've had it since I was a child. The room fills with inflated ballons and I get sufficated in a corner and can't get out. The balloons are really colorful, they just crowd me into a corner.

That sounds creepy D. Suffocation would not be fun. I wonder what that means?

I've always wondered it too. Waking up just before suffocating is a weird feeling.

Deanna, they are both terrifying!

But this morning, I had a dream about my dad. He died in April of 2009. In my dream this morning, I was all bummed out about some antique things I had sold that came from his family. Then the phone rang, and I answered it. It was Dad! He was calling from Heaven! He sounded great at first, but then it got weird.

I asked him what he was doing, and he said he was working. I yelled, "Tell me you love me!" and he whispered, "I can't. They might hear." I said, "What do you mean? You can't tell me you love me?" and he said, "It's just weird here. I have to be careful about everything I say, even to men."

I said, "Are you happy?" and he said, "Not really. It's strange." I was getting scared at this point, thinking this didn't sound like Heaven, but then I thought, "It certainly doesn't sound like Hell, either."

And then he appeared, standing in front of me, looking perfect! He looked like he was probably about my age--46, and he was in great shape. He was such a beautiful man when he was young, and he was like that in my dream.

Then I reached out and grabbed him and we just held onto each other so tight--tighter than ever before. I was sooooooo happy!

Then I woke up. cry

Before he died, I never remember dreaming about Dad. But since he's been gone, I dream about him regularly. At one point, I prayed to stop dreaming about him and his parents, and their home. It was almost every night. I stopped dreaming about them for a while, but now they are back--just not as often. He is usually sweet to me, and we usually hug in my dreams. There wasn't much of that in our relationship. I'm sure that's why I'm having the dreams--trying to work through things we didn't resolve when he was still here.

Have you ever been metaphorically suffocated? You just can't get a breath because you are overwhelmed and overworked?

In dreams, that's a good place to start - look at what's metaphorically suffocating you in real life.

You could also look into sleep disorders - sometimes sleep paralysis and sleep apnea can cause a suffocating feeling.

Wow Kitten - that's pretty intense shocked

That's really interesting that he wouldn't tell you he loved you because he was concerned about how someone else may react; what someone else would think.

But that's so nice that it had a happy ending.

A beached whale can be another way of saying you felt "like a fish out of water" or not able to move out of a situation.
Loosing teeth is common because we have the dream whenever it's time to accept a situation (grow up mature like loosing baby teeth and getting adult ones) . So when we loose our teeth in a
dream we are usually having a hard time accepting a circumstance , getting over it moving on. It's a symbol for "It's TIME"
Running very fast Away from something but really going too slow is a kinda literal symbolism for ...Slow down, take your time because it's not doing you away good to try and accomplish things rapidly. Or breathe...take time, do it right and you'll get there same as hurrying.
..just my thoughts.

For me, I have had recurring dreams of the same person for nearly 20 years. We are almost always inside a store or warehouse building. Occasionally the dreams will be staged outdoors. The main dream symbols are Him (His Eyes, Smile, His Presence), Spirals, Stores or warehouses, counters that usually separate us, Intersections, meteor showers. I now know who this person is.. the dreams were/are very accurate. They have become less frequent. I'm still not sure what to do with all that dream information.. if I'm supposed to do anything at all.

Kitten, I dream often of my deceased father as well. I can always count on him for approval or disapproval. In either case, my dreams confirm that he is still watching over me. If I may, I would like to give my opinion about your dream: I think your father made the call to let you know he still loved you even though you sold the family antiques. I believe "the others may hear" could possible be other deceased family members who are with him and not so pleased that you sold the family antiques. Your father's hug at the end seems to give approval. He understands and accepts fact that you sold the antiques. Just my opinion! Have a great day!

I dream quite often about being with my soul mate. It's a connection that I have never felt before in real life and it's wonderful and sad when I wake up. When I try to explan one of the dreams to people, they don't understand. I want to have this relationship in my waking life. I have such a deep longing and feeling of loss when I wake up, but to have spent that time with him in my dream is, well, very hard to explain, other than pure bliss.
