Keeping track of calories is pretty important to me, because I eat so much that I don't think about. But, we are very bad here at getting enough fruits and veggies, and fresh veggies are mostly really low in calories anyway. So, as long as I am not eating apple pie with ice cream, I very seldom even make note of fruits and veggies in my calorie count. My goal there is to eat enough of them, and I figure a handful of carrots is so much better for me and probably keeps me from the handful of Oreos, so it ought to be a free snack!
I have heard that some fresh veggies like celery and lettuce actually take more calories to process than they contain, so they are a super bargain!!!
But, I really like peanut butter on my celery.
Why does this have to be so hard?????
