I just returned from seeing the famous spring Bluebonnets and other wildflowers in Washington County, Texas. This is something I have always wanted to see. It was one of the many items on my "Bucket List". Anyone want to share something from their "Bucket List"??

My Birding Bucket List has New Zealand, Costa Rica and South Africa at the top; not that I ever really thought I would get to travel to them...well maybe Costa Rica.
Then Elderhostel came up with a birding trip to New Zealand next November! It is very expensive, and I dithered about it for weeks, but finally signed up the other day. After all, why should I leave those $$$ to my kids? I gave them life and love, that should be enough.
As long as I am fit and healthy enough to travel, and I won't clean out the bank account completely, I may as well go! So New Zealand, look out! Claybird is coming!

Claybird ~ congrats on the upcoming vacation. Enjoy the money that you have earned. Leaving it for family to fight over is unacceptable. And chances are they will. You might say "oh, my family would never do that"... well let me tell you something > chances are they will.

My dh and I have decided we want our bank account to be down to the single digets when we die. My folks passed away leaving everything to my brother (I mean ex-brother) mad and now we are a divided family.

Soooo spend it and ENJOY every minute, which we absolutely intend to do!!!!! grin

I know it sounds crazy, but the first thing on my Bucket List is to drive an 18 wheeler! Just one time. I love to drive and have driven cars, vans and trucks and I would love to drive an 18 wheeler sometime. The problem is who would be crazy enough to allow someone who never did it before to try it out on their big rig. Can't blame them... I wouldn't. smile

Just checking in with anyone who would like to share something from their bucket list and if those of you who posted here before have accomplished any of your bucket list items?

I was just working on my bIt (before I transition) list today. I've checked off a lot of items but still have a bunch to go. These are the items left as of now.

1. See the Boston Pops in concert
2. Finish and publish my book on "Best Places to Visit in WV"
3. Do more paranormal research
4. Ride in a hot air balloon
5. Make a million dollars (this will never happen but keeps me motivated)
6. Visit Sedona, AZ
7. Finish my dissertation for my 2nd PhD
8. Create a "Reiki Business in a Box" for my students and alumni
9. Find proof of who my maternal Grandfather's parents were
10. Finish my ministry web page
