Just wondering if anyone else has run across this. I live in a very pro having children County/City. That might sound crazy but it's true. I have noticed several boutique type clothing stores opening up that are geared toward moms. I'm not talking about maternity stores or stores where you can pick up items/clothes for kids. I'm talking about stores selling regular clothing items and accessories that have big signs in them that say "We love Moms" and it's not for Mother's Day. I find this really insulting to us child-free folks. Maybe it's the demographic I live in but I'm really curious if anyone else has seen this. It's bizarre but I'm sure someone is getting rich off of it. Thanks!

Mostly everything having to do with bearing children these days is totally out of control. It is nauseating......

Wow, I've never seen such a thing. I don't think I'd really find it insulting. To me, it's more like they might as well have put up a sign that says, "Hey, Dolyn! You do NOT want to come in this store, EVER." Their loss. Unlike most moms I know, I've got extra money to burn. smile

I find it pretty irritating also. I don't love the mommyblog trend either.

Mom's aren't stylish anyway with their mom jean and sweat clothes so I wouldn't want to shop there anyway.

Dittos to all the above. A store that is geared toward "Moms" says to me: we are willing to let your brats run all over the place and be out of control. So... me and my money would stay FAAAAAAAAR away. But, hey at least they are warning us up front!

I think that if I saw such a store I wouldn't really be interested in shopping there. Although, I do know some really stylish women that also happen to be mothers, I'd probably thing the place carried the "mom jeans." I'm so glad my mom never wore them lol.
