Unfortunately, right now not all of my curves are in the "right" places so fitting clothing is a bit tricky.

I don't know why mores store don't carry good plus sized clothing. It's a very large market.

A lot of "plus sized" clothing isn't even cut properly for our curvy shapes. I've finally learned to buy only v-neck top or ones with a generous scoop neck. No more crew necks for me - that actually make me look much heavier than what I am.

I tried on a pair of shorts last night and although they were supposedly a plus size, they wouldn't go over my bum. I have a white girl's bum so I find it strange when I can't fit into shorts because of my bum. Now my waist is a different issue. I have a naturally thick waist so I'm never surprised if I can't button the waist band smile But all of us girls definitely don't have the same shape.

Moe, I'll take a look at Target online eventually. I'm still plugging through the local stores since I really do prefer to try everything on smile

Jeanne, I like Fashion Bug and Steinmart. Not sure if your area would have those, but Fashion Bug online has good prices for decent clothes--it's affiliated with Land Bryant & Catherines & some other stores, but with their own "lines".

Also, Dress Barn runs some pretty good sales & my local store has as much plus size as they do regular size clothes. Also, Macy's and JC Penney have good plus size sections here & on clearance, their clothes can be cheaper than Target or Wal-mart. I like Target & Wal-mart for workout clothes though--both sell good dri-fit or cool-max (wicking fabrics) which might just work for you for everyday in Miami. !!

Deb,

I don't have a Fashion Bug, Steinmart, or Dress Barn. I barely have a Wal-Mart - that means the Wal-Mart is simply too far away to drive to on a regular basis. I used to shop at Fashion Bug when I lived in Massachusetts along with Lane Bryant.

As a general rule I don't get into Macy's or JCP ever so it's not likely I'd look for plus sizes in there, BUT if I do go into those stores, I'll definitely take a look.

At least I do have 4 stores I can shop at regularly - Lane Bryant, Dots, Simply Fashion, and Rainbow. Three of these are at the same mall which is super convenient.

I did receive my tank tops from SWAKDesigns. They fit AND they are really soft and light. They are ribbed tanks, not my favorite since that fabric tends to stretch out during the day. I think the tank has stretched a bit, but still looks ok. We'll see how these do after a few washes. So far though, I am happy with what I bought from SWAKDesigns and will watch th site for more things to buy smile

Another one I thought of is Simply Yours. It's a UK store that has international shipping. They don't have a section specifically for tank tops but if you go through their day tops selection you'll find some really cute tank tops, good prices too.
