Who sells basic tank tops, I prefer cotton non-ribbed, for a good price? I'm thinking something around $15 or under smile

Lane Bryant has tank tops, but seriously, I'm not paying $30-$45+ for a tank top...

I am going to be doing some shopping this weekend - Lane Bryant, Dots, Rainbow, Simply Fashion, and maybe Target to see what I can find...

oooo, generally that price range doesn't happen until end of season. You might have to wait for a sale.

Sealed with a kiss has a few cute ones for $24 (I like the swing one): http://www.swakdesigns.com/c-138-sleeveless-tops-camis.aspx

Addition-Elle has a few for $14.99 and $9.99 (CAN) and they have good shipping rates to US: http://www.1-plus.com/viewcategory.htm?categoryId=491641&displayAll=true

And Forever 21 plus has a few in the $20 range.

Let me know how you make out!

Living here in Miami, I wear tank tops almost all the time. For cooler weather, I simply put a shawl or sweater over it. I think it's cool only about 5 days a year.

I'm looking to hoard a bunch of tanks this year - like 10 to 20 of them smile I really don't wear short sleeved shirts. Heck, I don't wear jeans or long pants either.

Also, looking for about 4 pairs of nice linen shorts.

I do like the dipped tanks at SWAK, those are nice & the price is good. A little different than what I normally buy, too.

---- LATER ----

Ok, I just ordered 2 of th dipped tanks from SWAKDesigns - one of each color. Was only $30 including shipping, so $15 each. Hope they fit! smile

Swak has a good size range to choose from. Let me know how they fit when they arrive. I have a few favorite things from there.

You know, they've already shipped my order and I should have then next Wednesday. Yay!

Tomorrow, I'm going to go take a look in Target. I managed to get my hands on a $3 off coupon on Plus sized clothing there. Hopefully, they'll have something I like and fits properly. :-)

Make sure you check out Target online too. They might have a different selection there than in store. And if you spend $50, shipping is free.

Target does have some great ones and they're cheap. I love all the colors this season too.

Target had NOTHING for plus sized clothing. Ok they had a couple of things but it was in with the maternity section. Are you kidding?! Grrr....

Ok so I went across the street to the mall. I started at Simply Fashion. They have sizes up to size 24. I got two pairs of shorts for $21.50. I couldn't really find anything else I liked. Will try again at another time.

Next I went to Rainbow (sizes up to 24). I picked up three tops, not tank, but they have cute little short sleeves. I spent $22.50 for those three tops.

So I spent about $44 about got 5 items. YAY! I'm very happy with that.

I have very few clothes right now, I almost feel desperate. I have my 17 year old daughter helping me pick the clothes because she will be honest about how they look smile

I think it's so weird that nearly 70% of the population is plus size but so few stores sell plus size clothing. Why do you guys think this is the case? Also, I see Hispanic women trying to squeeze their curvy shapes into skinny mini clothes and I'm always baffled by this. It's like hello, you have friggin killer curves. Dress to maximize this not to pretend like you have the body of an athlete or a teenage girl. If I had curves I would show them off not try to pretend I was a skinny mini. Plus size women have nice curves and many of them are blessed with a nice chest too. Clothing companies should take advantage of this.

Jeanne, Did you look at Target online? They have the basics and some cute ones. Here's the link to their sleeveless plus size top section. I test the link and it will refresh when you click on it. It shows all tops then refreshes to short sleeve, weird.
