I use Twitter!!! I've only been using it somewhat regularly for the last couple of months though. So, I think the key is patience and persistence LOL.
I do know lots of people who don't want to "mess with it." LOL. We ALL need to keep up with technology if we want to keep having customers.

i agree, Deanna - keeping up with technology is important. It's a hard sell in some work places because people do not want to change with the times...lol...

I used to have Twitter on my Writing For The Internet site homepage, but I got fed up with having to have so many different profiles, always signing in and out for different readers,family,work,travel updates etc - it soon becomes a time drain if you follow too many people too - good if you use it right though especially for a writing career:

My 9-5 doesn't allow me to use twitter, but I can say that Twitter has helped me launch my Publishing Company and has been invaluable to me as a Writer. I've met people, enter contracts, found resources, from all around the US, that I never would have been able to get without Twitter in such a short amount of time.

I am still in the negative regarding twitter and the other networks. I do things the old fashioned way. I am still learning this process, and because of your connections I will work harder at understanding the network. When you get a chance stop by the site, I'd like to get your feedback on my latest article.

Dianne, That is a GREAT use of Twitter!!!
Ms. Tuculia - I was having a problem with the thought of it too, but I've learned that social networking is important - definitely for writers. Baby steps... it's ok. I'll be by, shortly...
