We have a cat, and will often say 'go see your dad' if she wants feeding, or something like that. but I have a friend who talks baby talk to her husband if she wants something, or just talking in general, and I hate it. they are in their 50's with no kids ( although they had tried for 20 years ) and I can feel my teeth gritting just thinking about it.

Weird, I don't see men doing the same thing, at least not when telling a story to someone else.



Very little kids, 1-2 year olds, understand you better if you talk in the third person, I mean talking in terms od "Mom/ Dad" and "Kid's name", instead of "I" and "you". Other than that, some people just like to brag a little about the fact that they have children.
