One of my friends breastfeed and she is forever bottling it to take out or she does it very discreetly, I see no reason just to let it all hang out and expect people to watch whilst eating.
I suppose it is only natural and the best form of nurishment for a baby but in modern day with expressing and breastfeeding clothing women can wear why would any woman want the world to see her breasts?????

Swearbear I dont think your a baby hater and you have every rignt to be offended. (Not to mention the disgusting sounds breast feeding makes,) its absolutely INAPPROPRIATE to do so at certain functions. (Most especially a wedding. I dont think the term 'boob' is imminent at a black/white tie event.) She had no reason to glare and had I been there I would have glared right back. It would have been a stare down. As to what your mom said next time reply, "I agree, but not in public unless from a different device." Even MY ma is repulsed when she sees women doing that in public. In PUBLIC! And people can say "don't look" but you can only keep your eyes reverted for so long. Its like asking God not to look at the earth and all thats in it. Its impossible. Plus a wedding especially is NO event in which something of this calibur should be done publicly. Just like no one wants to see pictures of right after births or vids with kids and food on their face nobody wants to see, or for that matter hear, someone breast feed. Its called DIGNITY people. GET SOME. (After working as a cashier and being around one too many kids I am technically classified as a baby hater. Or at least baby really- disliker. Their cute sometimes, but its usually the idiot parents who should be smacked around a bit for not properly doing their job.)
(Also swearbear I have read some of your older posts before joining and I think your amazing. Just saying. I like your username too. Swearbear. Sounds a lot like me.)

Well, I am not offended by seeing others breast feeding in public. But I also got married on a clothing optional beach, meaning that nudity doesn't really offend me in general haha. I do see your point though, as I can't imagine eating dinner in the presence of someone whose breast is dangling in my face! I would have that" I don't know where to look." feeling.

I support a mother's decision to breastfeed her child, but if you HAVE to do it in public, put a blanket over it. I don't want to see a stranger's boob hanging out, especially if I'm at a restaurant or some other venue that I paid money to be at. At a private event like the wedding, I'm sure someone at the venue would have been happy to accommodate this mother's needs, she just simply had to ask.

I am totally grossed out by breastfeeding. I know it is irrational and personal. I have no problem with nudity at all, I can be naked in beaches and saunas, but when it comes to breast-feeding, it just gives me the creeps. I don't think it is fair to shun these women from the public light or if it is right to make them hide when they are doing something that is supposed to be natural and good for mother and baby, but I wish it could be done.

I'm with you Solalux. My view is "pooping is healthy and natural, too, but that doesn't mean I should do it at the table of a restaurant."

I'm usually not much of a prude or anything but this has always bothered me as well.
I just feel that there is a time and place for everything and showing everyone your breast is just wrong on so many levels. I think women who do this need to learn to be considerate to how others feel as well. Besides, breast milk can always be pumped and if it's an emergency, then why not enter a restroom?
Doing that sort of thing publicly, especially at a wedding is just rude.

Not to mention, a 10 second walk put her in a private sun room where she could have fed until the little dickens exploded...she let her toddler play there unattended, so she knew about it.
