If we practice shifting our attention to things that are happy, a lot will change for the better. But it takes practice. So I'll start off this thread by saying I'm happy the sun came out today!

What's something you can be happy about right now?

I am happy about the concert I will be singing in this weekend. The local symphony orchestra and symphony choir (that I sing with) have invited all of the high school orchestras and choirs in the area to join them for the last concert of the season. It will be massive; something like 700 musicians! They are doing exerpts from various pieces including parts of Beethoven's 9th symphony. The high school kids are excited about playing and singing with the pros, and we are enjoying interacting with them. Its a win - win!

Wow Claybird! 700 musicians is fantastic. I'm happy you told us about that.

Hi Allan, I've just had a slice of cake made with variety of vegetables! You wouldn't believe that it consisted of turnips, swede, carrots, etc. Happiness is a great 'taste'! (JOY)

The concert was wonderful! The high school musicians were SO good and so well prepared that the Symphony conductor kept saying "I expected more problems!" at the first group rehearsal. It was held in the Notre Dame basketball arena, and it was amazing to see the floor taken up by all of those musicians, with the 150 voice chorus seated behind them in the bleachers. More than 3,000 people came, and they loved it! I'm still walking on air!

Great news about the concert! Congratulations! This week I got to present "The Bottom Line Duo" - a bass and cello duo to elementary school children, and it was also a fantastic experience. They presented everything from classical to jazz to rock on those two instruments, and made everything swing. The kids loved it.

I am happy my article is up to date, my AC is fixed, my handyman took care of the electric issues, I can use my washing machine, and that I have a nice weekend to relax in!
