Hi, I don't know where you live but thought i'd let you know that I was at a really great vegetarian restaurant in London last week, it's called Eat And Two Veg. Just thought you'd to know so that you know where to go for a great vegetarian meal. Hope the vegetarian lifestyle is going well.

I finally tried Morning Star sausage...love the patties but the links you can keep. Can you suggest a good substitute for hot dogs? I tried Smart Dogs..they're ok..if I nuke them. When I grilled them the skin got like paper and the inside was all mushy.

No suggestions for hot dog replacements. The Smart Ground however is great in things like sauces, chili, soup - where ever you use ground meat. I never really liked the taste of meat so have not tried to replace these tastes except for satisfying my hubbie and he did not know it was meat the first time I made something with it. I have been told it also makes great burgers but have not yet tried this. My personal favorite for veggie burgers is Nature Burger - wonderful grains and spices and the consistency is quite good.

Might I also suggest that you venture into new ideas for your eating rather than trying to mimic meat so much. Once you get into the wide array of tastes that veggies and whole foods offer meat really does not taste all that great anymore. Replacing protein can be done with a small handful of seeds, nuts or whatever you like for protein - we truly do not need as much protein as we get from flesh products so experiment - lots of websites out there to help including the Vegetarian site here at Bella.

Im not vegetarian, but my parents are so I end up eating a lot of vegetarian food when I go home to visit them. Morningstar and Boca have a lot of great meat substitutes, but you definitely dont want to rely on too many of their frozen and processed items. Fitness generally has some good ideas for vegetarian recipes- I really like the sound of this stir-fry recipe. Good luck with your new vegetarian lifestyle- hope its going well!
