I've been thinking a lot about what my priorities are since I saw this post.
I think I've got them figured out!
My priorities are:
**to actively start on the path to a career in holistic community health - that means grad school and/or peace corp - i.e. my sense of purpose in the world
**embracing my spirituality more fully
**embracing all the artsy/crafty things that make me happy
**actively loving me all the time
**becoming a financial adult

We have many new forum members! Come share your priorities with us! What overall life goals do you focus on? I am not doing well on my health priority, I always let that slide behind all the things on my to-do list. I have to put health items on my to-do list too

I am finding health is becoming a higher priority for me - the older I get, the more I really appreciate how important it is to stay healthy!

Hey Lisa,
A year ago on the 24 of this month I was in the hospital emergency room. I was near death. I am doing well right now but have many medical problems right now.
When I went to the hospitalit had been at least 10 years since I've seen a doctor. Reason. Could not afford medical and still can't afford it now but I make due.
Yes health needs to a #1 priority. With out our health we are not good to any one. our families and communities included.
So actually today is the day, exactly 1 year ago I was rushed to the emergency room. So I am very serious about my healing and my health at this point in time.
My other priorities include becoming debt free, building a business to become debt free and pursue my christian writing career.
Each one of these have major action steps to take. It will take a lot of methodical planning for all this to happen.

Wow Grace that is very scary! I'm so glad you got through that!
Health can be expensive but it is very worth it. It's like having a car. It's expensive for the loan, the gas, the insurance and everything else but it is critical for many peoples' lives to have a car. Health is even more important than that. We can take health for granted until we're given a wake-up call.
Being debt free is a wonderful priority! We can help with that!

My priorities are;
my physical and mental health
my young children
my husband and family life
my career, mostly because I want to be a good role model for my girls.
and to try and be kind and happy
That's a full plate!

I looked back to my priorities I'd set back in June 2008. They were:
* helping others
* helping others help themselves
* being more healthy
* finding serenity
I do feel strongly that these are my priorities, and I do try to work towards these in my daily life. Having priorities and goals really do help your progress!
Is everybody else feeling comfortable with their priorities?
