What keeps me an optimistic person:
1) Knowing that no matter what happens, it can be dealt with and one day the storm will clear the way for a beautiful rainbow.
2) No matter what kind of day it is...what person I meet and what they're like...there is always beauty in the day or the person that can be found and appreciated.
3) I never wasted time in life doing things that might hurt me or slow me down from being productive when I "got older"...so I am in an extremely blessed situation and am the only 20 year old I know whom is financially and emotionally stable.
4) I have the most beautiful person as a husband and because I am the stronger side of our partnership, being motivated, positive, loving, and practical is a must so I can keep his respect and teach him how to get a better grasp at life. I WANT to be all these things because I want to be strong for him.
5) I used to be a miserable person; all the small things mattered and if something didn't go right I was saying, in different terms, "Life sucks." But life wasn't any fun that way.

So when I figured out that optimism was a choice--although it needed to be worked at, a choice--I went for that and have never gone back. It's a lot more fun here.

Life is too gorgeous and too short to sit through it and mope. It sounds ridiculous, but my optimism is what keeps me optimistic. Anything else is drab compared to making life beautiful just because I'm here.
