P.S....to answer the question! Faith, I believe in God's restoration and healing in our lives as the Bible tells us....He does amazing things in our lives. If I get out of sorts with something, I realize that I need to readjust my focus and my thoughts back to God's plan....His always work out the best for me smile

Aw, thanks!! smile I agree! And, not to say I don't have days that are harder than others to feel positive, but I often find when having an off day, that if I remind myself (I tend to forget when I'm having an "off" day!) on some of the tips given above (many of these come naturally when all is going well), I can turn my mood around.... unless it's totally hormonal or something!! haha But even then... I can still "improve" my outlook by using these basic tricks. And I agree, there is much too much about life to be thankful and amazed about to not fully appreciate and enjoy it!! If we constantly focus on the negative, then we're cheating ourselves from enjoying all that's good!

I like your quote Sue!!! Even if my outlook on the world isn't as it really is, I'd rather be happy and somewhat delisional than right and unhappy!! haha

LOL...haahhaa My sweetie always asks me about the color of the sky in my world being sooo blue!!! I have been through so much and still have some difficult days but I'm with you here, it's not denial that things sometimes suck, it's simply the promise that they will get better....I think I'll go float on my "happy cloud" and have some tea...haahaa...stop by for tea anytime! There's plenty of room on the happiness cloud! lol smile

LOL!!! You're awesome Sue!! haha And I'd love to have tea with you on your happy cloud! It's so true that's it all in how we see things. Lately, I've been loving life in my own happy little utopia that is "inside my mind!" I seek to make things magical, romantic, inspiring, engaging. I realize that all my comforts, so much of what I have to be thankful for could be gone in a second, and to not fully enjoy it all while I can would be an utter waste!

Now this may sound odd but I find digging in the dirt, working with plants, inside or outside, refreshes my spirit. There is something about the smells of it. The idea of getting back to basics of life that does something to you and for you. Getting your hands dirty. Maybe it's the simplicity of it that helps you put other things into perspective. A day working in the dirt can do wonders for your mind. I do my best thinking then. Or so I like to think.

^^ Yes!! Another good point! Digging in the dirt helps connect one to nature. Gardening is a major stress relief for many. I have a small garden plot, and it has definitely been therapeutic! I keep it small and easy to maintain, but there's a lot of fun in planting a plant or seeds and watching them grow!!

I also love, love, love the smell of nature, when out in the country, when the sun is starting to set. Has anyone else noticed the magical aroma that's released outdoors after the sun has begun to set? It's heavenly.... smile
