I have six male Jack Russell's at my house and desperately need to get the fosters adopted (two are my own and four are fosters). We foster JR's through Russell Rescue Inc and there are so many that are being pulled from kill shelters right now so the need for adopters is big.

Out of the four fosters, one already has an adoptive family and will be leaving as soon as he is old enough to be neutered. The remaining three are absolutely precious and so deserving of a good home. You can see Skip, Gus, and Snowflake on the Texas Russell Rescue Blog. Thank you!

If you are looking for a great companion A Jack Russel is a great choice. It is a shame I am in the UK as they look really sweet. My friend had one that he took around Europe. Jack Russels are small so you don't need a lot of room, so long as you can take them for good walks. Come on remember Eddy in Frasier....

You are right, JR's are wonderful, loyal companions. There seems to be so many that need rescued because, unfortunately, people do not research the breed prior to getting one as a puppy. As the JR grows up the owners realize they are high energy dogs that require lots of exercise. My JR's force me to walk everyday...which is a good thing.
