My daughter recently underwent surgery for a broken collarbone. She's left with an ugly scar. What can I use to fade it?

There are many things on the market, but I always prefer to go the natural route.

Vitamin E is a staple in this area. And Ostrich oil is a great healer. I would use a mixture of the two. You can open a vitamin E capsule and mix with an equal amount of Ostrich oil. I would just rub this into the scar area once or twice a day. I'm not a doctor, but I do make soaps and lotions using these ingredients and have had lots of success with them.

Hope this helps!

There are cocoa butter products designed specifically for post surgery. They may even contain vitamin E as well. Vitamin E is supposedly great for the itching afterward as the skin heals.

I remember a doctor actually had me use Vitamin E where I received progesterone shots during my last pregnancy (man they were itchy afterwards).
