Good article, Jennifer!

One of my favorite travel sites is TripAdvisor.com. I always read the reviews on hotels and restaurants before making reservations.

Yes, I like that one too. I also like yahoo trip planner, where you can plan a trip - or see other travellers plans.

Are there any more good stress-busting ones?

Thanks for your feedback Chloe and Bella! I love TripAdvisor.com as well. I also use Orbitz and Expedia to research the hotels, even if I don't end up booking my trip there.

I am a princess in the world of living simply! (No choice lol) so I'll bookmark your forum!

Yes, good research and forward planning is the key to low stress vacations. There are times for spontaneity - but not guaranteed to be a great idea with kids !

Great article!

Thank you so much from BellaShorts.

I was reflecting the other day that I realised I very rarely do searches for websites on topics like I used to 'in the old days' ha ha. Instead, after all the hard sell, non-stop 'you are the millionth visitor, etc etc, sites, I now find myself actively seeking out blogs, personal journals and forums (like this one!) for the info I need!

Particularly for personal experience bargains and travel, I know I can rely more on these.

Maybe that's why people like my London vacation journal too. Here's to the unique content on Bella!

I agree, Bella! I spend a lot more time on travel websites reading the reader reviews than anything else. I would trust an everyday person's experiences over a hired hotel review any day.
