Just heard on the news last night that at least 10 wolves have been killed in Sublette County, Wyoming due to harassment of livestock. This is a legal practice in this region, less than a month after the grey wolf was removed from the Endangered Species List. Wolves remain a trophy game species in northern Wyoming. Montana's hunting season will likely start in the coming months. It will be interesting to see if states can maintain a wolf population without ESA protection in the current day and age given the region's tumultuous history with the grey wolf.
