Craig58, that is how I, a Hoosier, always felt until this year. Previously the Indiana primary was a joke, it takes place in early May long after the frontrunners of both parties have been crowned. Until this year nobody gave a rat's a** who we wanted to vote for. Just knowing that our votes had some meaning at last, no matter that many candidates had already dropped out, was thrilling.
Obviously the primary process needs a major overhaul, and maybe if we all don't just forget about the agony, but pester the party leaders to make some big changes, they will realize that they MUST get busy and do something substantive before the next election.
I know that you feel bitter now, but please don't throw away your vote in the fall. Surely you will be able to find SOME things you agree with in one candidate or the other, and how can you complain about the result of the election if you have taken yourself out of the process?
I cherish my right to vote, and my equal right to bellyache to the winners when they do something I don't like.
