Chuck Berry is coming to Boston on Sunday the 13th! My dad has wanted to see him live for years, and we were even talking about going out to Kansas City, so this is a real treat smile

I'll let you know how it goes!

He was at Berkeley Music Center so a really small location - it was GREAT!! The opening bands had members of Boston and other large groups. All sorts of stars were there. And then my dad was amazed that Chuck himself was moving around on stage, being very active. I think my dad thought he would be hunched over in a wheelchair or something like that.

It was fun - he was calling out to the audience to give him suggestions and people would yell out songs. Then he would say "OK how does that go?" and everyone would start singing.

I got some cell phone videos but the sound quality on them is AWFUL - you can barely tell what song is being sung. I'll see if I can put some up anyway.

It was really a once in a lifetime thing smile

I'd love to see the footage! That's definitely a once in a lifetime performance. Who knows how much longer we'll have him around?
