most of my clients have gone from using razors and shaving to waxing instead. lasts much long and keeps the hair from being thick and dark.
Personally I hate hate hate razors. I cannot use them no matter how new or sharp. i get major razor burn and bumps and break out. I use a neck trimmer and always have slight stubble. One day I will get electrolisis or laser ;0)

Bonnie - so is there a reason you use disposables rather than reusable ones where you just swap out the head? I have no idea why, just a routine I guess and due to having eczema on my legs I felt it was safer to use a new tool altogether. I would like to try the one mentioned with the gel, although I am happy with the Trader Joe shave gel.

I hate to shave because it takes so freaking long to do it! I have to trade out the blades everytime I shave so the non disposible razors are expencive! the disposibles are not much better but they are a little cheaper. I have to use the triple blade because the one and two blades wont cut it and well my legs look like lunch meat with road rash after I am thourgh!
I have tried veet and nair but that is also expencive and they dont work well either and over time I get a rash like chemical burns....
I would love to try waxing but the kits that you can get over the counter suck and there is no one that does waxing professionaly here so....

Bonnie - the Venus I got had a replaceable head so you could do that, you'd get a great shave and only have to replace the razor part each time.

LIsa, understsandable. I have a Jordanian girl who gets waxing from me and it's like WOW... there's more here than I thought. When I rip it off the root is much darker and thicker than the hair. But she's been doing waxing for years and has never shaved, so she understands the pain and the process.

You don't need shaving cream or anything with the Embrace, either. And, I think it makes shaving really quick.
I have forever used the leftover hair-color conditioners as a shaving lubricant. Either that or Dove soap.

Oh I have a horrible time with nair and such as well. I get a chemical burn and and little spots of blood like my pores are bleeding. Never do that again! I'm too much of a scaredy cat to try waxing. Maybe I'll buy a home kit so I can scream in private

Ha, I tried Nair once. It was like putting some sort of skin remover on my legs. My skin reacts with some things quite violently and Nair was one it didn't like at all. The sad thing is I had no reaction until a few minutes after I'd slathered it everywhere, then it was like "get it off! NOW!" LOL--yeah, I can laugh now--Ivory soap and Mary Kay products did the same thing to my face. Allergies suck!
