This thread is interesting. I didn't like the 3 posts promoting their products tho, is that ok in here? Kinda distracting but I'm new so maybe it's just me! Don't mean to complain or anything!!
I think the basis of this discussion is to find out if we like ourselves or not. What would you change if you could, so to speak. If you like, say, biracial skin, does that mean you would like that for your own skin? Can we expand this to other things like hair color & texture & eye color? That can be in the 'ideal' category too.
Love,
Reina

No, those are pretty blatant Reina. I've let the moderator know.

Going from the basis of changing ourselves I'd definitely have darker skin. I'm very pale and tend to reflect odd colors of my surroundings and clothing. smile

thanks for the notifications! i've taken care of it.

i do have to say that when it comes to skin color and attraction i don't think you can say one is better than the other...for example look at pale beuaties like Nicole Kidman, or Cameron Diaz, then we have darker skin in Nicole Ritchie, or Jessica Alba, then our dark skin lovelies like halle berry, Vivica Fox and Naomi Campbell.

I will say that there is not enough diversity that we see on television and film

I tend to have a very wide range of "looks" I can be drawn to. I like thin men, heavy men, you name it. So as far as facial color goes, I have dated men with gorgeous pale skin, with gorgeous super dark skin and everything in between. I agree with the person who said it's the healthy skin look that matters. If a face looks healthy, to me whatever the color is is immaterial. Now that being said it is very hard for pale skin to look healthy - often it looks sickly. So in that sense, skins that are medium-pale to rich black are better at healthy looking. But if someone was pale-ethereal that can be lovely looking too.

But I have seem super dark people who are simply gorgeous. I have seen that light-coffee color that is equally gorgeous. A "regular tan" can look superb. So I can't say that I am drawn to any one look. I love individuals and think a wide variety of individuals can be really attractive.
