I am a videographer by trade, but a video editor, documentarian, and scriptwriter by, um, that's what I love.

I am also a receptionist and a gymnastics instructor until my videography job decides to hire me part- or full-time.

I wavered between communication and biology for my degrees. So, if I weren't a videographer, I'd probably be a zoologist or marine researcher.

I have NO head for numbers, though, so do not ask me. Even stuff that is related to my field that is not math, just numbers! I have very little comprehension with numbers.

I'm an IT Consultant for a very big IT firm... there were 3 women including me in 17 grads...

So yes, I'm in a male dominated industry and I really enjoy it... :-)

Oh.. and my hobbies used to include 2 martial arts and body building... make of that what you will :-D

Currently, I stay home. I am studying to become a personal trainer. My degree is in Business Administration...but have no desire to go back into that line of work anytime soon. After I got remarried I decided to take some time off and stay home for break, which has turned into two years! I really don't have a desire to go back to work right now.

I use my right hand to write and eat, but can do almost everything else with both, left & right hand????

Jzel, I am ambidextrous, too. I use my left hand for writing, although there have been a few times when I hurt my hand, wrist, or finger and had to write with my right hand.

But I am predominantly right-handed in general life things, but it's just as easy with my left. Except gymnastics. I'm a lefty.

Also, sometimes I forget which hand I eat with. I have also been known to pick up a pen and try to write right-handed without realizing what I'm doing. People at work find great amusement in this.

I work at a college tutoring chemistry and biology. I'm a junior majoring in bio/chem, just trying to get into med school.

Jzel, personal trainer would be a fun job I think! Wanna write a workout for me? Hee..

It is crazy! I sometimes go to do something and I can't figure out what hand would work best????? A curse and a blessing I guess.

I actually just fell into it. I worked as an administrative assistant at a housing authority's community center, and luckily, my boss couldn't do anything and I had to pick up the slack. After learning to write grant applications as I went, I was promoted to manager, when I wrote a huge grant that brought in a nonprofit educational group. My job was eliminated, and I went to work for that group - and that's where I am now! I like grant writing, but it's easy for me and has lost its challenge. It also doesn't inspire me to get up in the morning. That's why I'm going back to school to become a teacher.

It's easier than you think to get into the field. Ignore the people who tell you that a fund development degree is needed - my degree's in German, yet I'm one of my area's top fundraisers. Try volunteering for a cause you believe in, and eventually they'll give you more responsibilities. I give trainings on how to write grants and I'll appear in an upcoming documentary with the working title "Fundraisers on Fundraising". Cool, eh?
