Ok girls my friend is coming over on Saturday to help me bleach my hair so I test stranded with Wella wellite powder and 20 vol developer. the box says not to leave on for more than 50 minutes after 50 minutes rinsed it out and voila orange hair. So should I leave it longer or use 30 volume developer. It isn't brassy and my hair is still in good condition after the bleaching

If you are determined to have blonde hair, first use 40 volume developer. Leave it on for the recommended amount of time and rise. If it is not the shade you want, mix anew batch and reapply.

It sounds like your hair is dark so remember that in 3 or 4 weeks you will have retouch the new growth. (only the regrowth without touching the part that is already bleached?
