Mythbusters did a test and if you're going to think about bathroom germs, there are those germs on *every* surface you touch in your house. They even found them in completely separate rooms. So you would have to sterilize your carpets, wash your sheets, steam clean your couches etc. every single day.

We don't wear plastic bubbles when we go outside, and just think of all the germs we breathe in every day! Think of all the bed mites in your bed, that you sleep with every night smile

I love to camp, so the idea that we live in a world with germs doesn't bother me too much smile How about when you swim in the ocean!

Embrace your germs and love them smile

In fact some studies show that kids who are kept in too sterile an environment come down with far worse allergies and issues than kids who "run wild" - because the sterile kids' bodies never learn to handle the normal germs of life. Germs are your friends smile

I use a fresh towel every time. When I had long hair, I used two fresh towels every time. One for my hair and one for my body. Just feels nasty to use a "dirty" towel. Don't want to dry my face with the towel I last used to dry my backside and feet! I don't care how "clean" they were. But, I think people do what their mothers did.

But your feet were clean smile Embrace your feet! If they are pink and clean and snuggly when they come out of the shower, shouldn't they be loved just as much as your face? smile And really, both of them sweat. I bet your face gets exposed to more toxins than your feet do.

You should love your feet, and maybe paint little designs on your toenails. Jeanne can tell us all about that and even show photos maybe smile

I don't think that we should wash towels after every shower, considering that most of us take a shower at least once a day. What a waste of water. While there may be a microbiologist who could explain the entire theory of why we should - I don't think it makes sense environmentally.

Plus - I agree that our children need a dose of healthy exposure to germs. But as far as the toothbrushes - I do soak them in hydrogen peroxide and change them every 2-3 months - and that's only because my kids get colds etc. and sometimes the little one likes to gross the others out by using their toothbrushes:)

I am all for changing toothbrushes every 3 months or so - they seem to wear out, and tooth health is very important! You need to keep those gums healthy smile

I'm curious if any of the one-a-dayeres who left their towel out an extra day found that it dried fully - or if it was still wet the next day!
