If that's the case, then why is the average life span of an outside cat so much shorter than an inside cat?
My blue heeler had heartworms when we first got him..."herbs, ash and dirt" wouldn't have done much to save him from dying from that. No, it took several hundred dollars and a good vet, but it was worth it.
I don't think your "remedies" would go far helping an animal with a broken leg...wild animals die from injuries like that all the time, and their natural instincts can't help them there.
I just don't think your comment "survived just fine" without vet care holds water.

I look at the vet biz like, hmmmmmm with all of their natural instincts, animals survived just fine w/out a $300-$1500 vet bill and utilized things like herbs, ash and dirt.
They really are use to people dropping their pets off at an emotional expense and paying the itemized bill.
Researching remedies can save a pretty penny!
