For me its battered deep-fried butterfly shrimp. I know I can make them at home with Long's Fry-It-Right but we have a casino buffet in town that serves the giant butterflied shrimp. The whole buffet is pretty darn close to gourmet. Now and then I just go for it face first. LOL!

I control my other favorites by either finding good substitutes or taking just "one bite." The first bite tastes the best anyway. After that you're just shoving in extra carbs and calories. Those "bites" kept me and still keep me from feeling deprived.

It's gotten so bad my DH always says he needs me to taste his food so he knows he's not getting poisoned. :o)

My other problem food is fruit. I just can't eat enough on 30 carbs per day. :o( Occasionally, I do go overboard.

Pizza is EASY. Use either low carb lavosh or low carb FlatOut bread for the crust. Top with all your favorites! I think the recipe for how to bake the crust is still on the FlatOut package. If not, it's at their website.

What I do now when we go out for pizza is to eat one piece with crust (if it's thin), have a salad and then just eat the toppings off whatever other pieces I may want.

If you like Chicago deep dish pizza go to...

My boyfriend makes me eggplant pizzas which are really tasty smile

It's really healthy to wean yourself off of caffeine as much as you can, so that you have an "even keel" of energy all day rather than spiking your system. So this might be a good time to wean yourself gently off of caffeine drinks! I know many low carbers who said that they were amazed at how much better they felt once they did that. It's not easy, but it is worth it to try smile

Pepperoni Pizza is always a huge, huge craving for me. I have made a faux pizza in a bowl w/o the crust which is LC but ofcourse still not the same.

Try making the pizza on a base - eggplant, low carb wrap, etc. There are even low carb pizza doughs out there. If you make it really tasty with fresh pepperoni you really do enjoy it a lot smile

I'm one of the lucky ones. I never liked coffee, tea or hard liquor and don't drink much soda. What soda I do consume is caffeine free. My beverage of choice all my life has been water. When I was a teenager and young adult people couldn't understand my love of water. I was way ahead of the curve but didn't know it was healthy. I just liked it. :o)

Yes water is just SO healthy for you, to drink it regularly all day long! It keeps your vitamins flowing properly, flushes the fats and toxins from your system, and keeps your skin healthy. Good for you!

I do like herbal teas, they are tasty and caffeine free smile
