I'd love to hear about the dolls you are making or the clothes you're making for them.

Right now I'm working on a pattern for a small (9 inch) cloth doll that is requiring a lot of trial and error. I'm happy with the body, arms and legs but the head is going to need at least one more redo, if not more.

I haven't even begun to work on clothes for it yet!

Well, I finished the doll and a dress for her. The dress pattern will be coming next week, so watch for it. You can see the doll here:

9 Inch Destiny Cloth Doll

She is shown in the soft sculpture cradle. You can get instructions for it here:

Soft Sculpture Doll Cradle

The doll and cradle would make a great gift for doll lovers of all ages, but I especially love them for the littlest doll lovers because they are all so soft.

Enjoy!

I have got to get two more 'Topsy-Turvey' dolls made before March 7 for two birthdays in my family.

So, it's been a while since I asked, back to my question... what dolls are you working on now? Any new dolls, or interesting clothes or accessories?

Have you finished any dolls you wanted to make for Easter? easter

I forgot to take pictures of the dolls before I gave them away. I will make another for myself and get a picture for you.

Right now I am working on my Native American dolls and their beaded dresses - lots of fun, but, soooo much work!

Wow, Phyllis. That does sound like a lot of work, but a lot of fun, also. I've never done beading on fabric before, I don't know if I'd have the patience. I have done beaded crochet and enjoyed it a lot. In fact I made jewelry for my dolls with beaded crochet and wrote an article about it: Jewelry For Your Dolls.

I'd love to see a photo when you can take one and post it.

Here are pictures of my Navajo doll. She is 9", all cloth. The belt I made of tiny turquoise seed beads with silver spacers. I put turquoise and coral beads in her hair.

These are the moccasins and leggings and pantaloons:

Thank you, Helen. They are very much a labor of love. I started making them to sell and the first two I made, this one and one other will stay with me. I have six other dolls made and am working on their dresses. Each one will be representing a different tribe.
