Great story about your cat and the bag, Holly! Jase, is your computer acting up again? I hope the ones who were able to fix it last time can repeat their miracle again. Green, I'm glad that your cold is going away. Today I am grateful that my back is finally feeling better. It seems to also be making my mood better. I am grateful for friends I have met on Bella. I am grateful tomorrow is a day of rest! I am relaxed, too, but I am ready to go to bed, so "Good Night, Ladies; Good Night Gentlemen; I'm going to leave you now." It seems like a lot of music and songs have been popping in my head lately! I'm grateful for that, too! Trish

I think Jase said the computer finally died. Jase, remember you can get internet access through public libraries. I've done that when my internet has gone down.
I am also grateful for friends, tomorrow will be a day for cooking and staying home, and i'm glad you're feeling better, Trish!

Yes, the warmth is nice. I walked to get groceries. The soup came out well, but i'm still waiting on the bread which for some reason is slow to rise today.
I hope everyone else here at Bella is also doing well.

New ideas for my life, my business, my art, and plans in general.
Also thinking of improvements to make to the house when it finally becomes mine like adding in recycled denim insulation or even stable bio foam insulation to stop all possible air leaks. New windows wo replace my old single pane horribly inefficient ones. Then more user and drought friendly plantings outside and adding less lawn and more native prairie plantings since I am in the prairie.

yeah the public library is ok... and i am saying that with as much sarcasm as humanly possible. we have to sign up for an hour slot almost a week ahead of time to be able to use it. then there are people looking over your shoulders and I hate it. Hoepfully I get my w2 soon so I can efile and get my return in 7 days so I can purchase a new computer.
As for the company that did the miracle fix, well they cannot and wont fix it this time since it is obvious its an internal power surging problem since i went out and bought the 45 dollar mega surge protector strip and its perfectly still fine. They said they could hunt down the internal problem but since the machine is 5 years old and been through a lot already I should save the 50 dollars an hour fee and just buy a new one which I had planned already. i just wish the other one wouldn't have died in the process. I live paycheck to paycheck so saving is very hard. Hopefully i get my raise in april and things will improve some. I also have the opportunity to get a freelance wiritng job that will pay a minimum of 725 a month and that only requires writing one article every two weeks and 3 blog postings a week. I am hopefully going to be chosen to be the new guide for the women's hairstyling section at about.com... we shall see. I start my 14 day training and evalutation process on the 11th. Then they decide between me and 3 others who they will keep. The email from the interview peeps said they were impressed with my application article I wrote on proper professional pre-hairstyling etiquette.
keep your fingers crossed cause I could surly use the exrta 725 a month LOL

Today I am greatful that I finally have my workshop promo brochures back from the printer--and they're right this time. I'm greatful that all of the scheduling kinks have been worked out and I don't have anything double or triple booked any more. And I'm greatful that my day job has enough flexibility to allow me to simply take a day off when I need to crash--this lack of sleep thing is getting to me!
All will be well in 2008! Once I get the prep work for the workshops complete.

New windows wo replace my old single pane horribly inefficient ones. Then more user and drought friendly plantings outside and adding less lawn and more native prairie plantings since I am in the prairie. I will definitely cross my fingers you get that job, Jase. It does sound like a sweet deal! Regarding your enviromentally sound changes to your place... i've been thinking about the same kind of improvements for my home, and i just thought i'd mention that i've decided rather than putting money first into replacement windows, i'm going to replace my furnace to a geo-thermal unit. If i replace the windows, i'm still using fossil fuels, plus, i'm still on the grid paying the utility company, and you know how they like to get their hands in our pockets! A geothermal system costs about 3x more than a new furnace, i hear, but i believe after that i'll be OFF THE GRID, for heat, anyway, plus... it's a renewable, ozone-friendly heat source in unlimited supply! AND... it even cools, too. I figure if i get that, it will be a LOT cheaper than replacing my windows (i have 30+ windows!) and i can have a warmer house than i would with the replacement windows. In my town the guy who's been doing the heating systems for most of us for 40 years got it for HIS home and loves it! I have another pair of acquaintences who got it and they said they should recoup their investment in just three years. So i would look and see if anyone does it in your area, and if it makes more sense for you than replacement windows. You could always get the windows, later, if you still wanted them. Also, i've been thinking of ordering something i've seen on t.v... it's a draft stopper, but it's of different design. They send you 2 for $20, and i thought i would then see if i can make them for other doors and windows. It's different in that it goes on both sides of the door, so it moves when you open and close the door and fits more snuggly, and it also can be cut to perfect size. It's kind of figure 8 shaped, but i want to see what they stuff it with. I have a hunch it might be like that foam you use to insulate hot water pipes, and i even have some extra of that i could use to make my own.
