I know I am a hard worker
I know I love to learn
I know I look younger than I am
I am not sure how my therapy is going. It seems my therapist focus on my stressors in my present life. I think I could deal with the things of my family life on my own. I really wanted the therapist to focus on my past to help me figure out my severe low self esteem issues. I just feel like my sessions are not really getting deep enough.
Remember, you are paying
him. That gives you the right to ask him to help you work on the objectives
you set. Most therapists are good at what they do, but each person has to find a therapist that can best help them, and sometimes it clicks and sometimes it just doesn't click, ya know? It's up to you of course to decide what you should do, but if it were me, i'd either tell him he has to get with the program and give him just a couple more sessions to turn it around or i'd start looking for another therapist immediately. I just think it's a lot of money and time to waste on someone who isn't helping you with the thing you are really asking for help with, now isn't it? If you called in a plumber to fix your backed up toilet and they fixed the sink instead and you could have done that yourself... would you keep him?
