Amid the ruins of a church in Peru, there stands the crucifix with rubble around its base, and in another area, a painting of Christ, unscathed by the earthquake.
I don't feel as though I am superstitious at all. The coincidence of the occurrences is startling, and to the believer could be construed to mean that Christ/God is everlasting, and the things of this earth, as well as the earth itself, are not. All is temporary, and our every breath is determined by the will of the Almighty.
