This can be easily written as an article and submitted to many websites. It will help correct wrong ideas. I would have tried.

Thank you for clearing up the discrepancy that I had about the laughing Buddha.

I, as many other uninformed people, thought that was who your Buddha was.

Yes, so you see, because the 'original' Buddha actually came from India, by the time Buddhism had travelled to China, many legends, interpretations and tales had arisen there, as a means of propulgating Buddhism. Initially, Buddhism was also mixed with a hefty dose of confuscianism....

You're quite right about the monk being named Ho Tai, but Mi Fo Lo figures too... that is why I say that distortion is always rife when a religion travels across countries, frontiers and boundaries.

And no, I really am not having a dig, there. Just stating the obvious.

Perhaps this is not the correct thread to be discussing who the Buddha is, particularly as it is in the Bible Forum, and the thread is titled "in the name of Jesus"....But if you guys are still comfortable with it, and nobody objects, then that's a good thing, really, isn't it....?

I don't mind talking about buddha. He is dead and cannot harm anyone. Jesus Christ is alive and at the right hand of power.

CD,

How can you possibly say that Jesus and Buddha are the same person?

Jesus and God are one in the same. Buddha is not any of them.

Yes , you are asking a very good question.
This is my understanding-

Jesus is God.
God can incarnate himself in any way he wants.
God incarnated himself as Buddha.
Jesus was another incarnation.

God's glory is infinte, dear and the more you praise him the less it will be.
Thank you for asking.
May Jesus bless you.

So, then that means all religions are correct because God incarnated Himself into each one? Or is Buddha just the lucky one?

Buddha is not God and God is not Buddha. God is God, Jesus is God and the Holy Spirit is God.

Buddha is just Buddha.

I don't know how that came to be your understanding, but it is wrong.
