It is. we just call it 'Rounders'.... and is played mainly as a school sport. It is widely believed and accepted that baseball originated from this intrinsically English game. It has an association, and a broad following, too...

Yes, they are considered national sports and receive more media coverage. That doesn't make it right, but they do.

Baseball is becoming popular in China. They New York Yankees are now interested in Chinese players.

I think Football is more popular in the UK, but Cricket is losing it's "toffee-nosed" status...that is to say, players are no longer required to wear 'Cricket Whites', and crowds are geting rowdier, more noisy, .....more like, in fact, football supporters....;)
