It is. we just call it 'Rounders'.... and is played mainly as a school sport. It is widely believed and accepted that baseball originated from this intrinsically English game. It has an association, and a broad following, too...

Yes, they are considered national sports and receive more media coverage. That doesn't make it right, but they do.

 Now that's funny!! I think Football is more popular in the UK, but Cricket is losing it's "toffee-nosed" status...that is to say, players are no longer required to wear 'Cricket Whites', and crowds are geting rowdier, more noisy, .....more like, in fact, football supporters....;)
