The other day we got up close to 60 degrees, and I started to get spring fever. After our rather harsh northwest winter with more than our share of snow, cold, winds, and power outages, I was ready to be outdoors again to watch my daughters play softball. But it's only January and we still have another couple months to go. Less than two actually.
It's back to 40 degrees, and unfortunately it could still be in the 40's when we start the new season. Those first few tournaments can be brutal as we sit bundled up in our winter coats wrapped within our blankets, gloves and hoods on - oftentimes with drizzle coming down. There's no stopping softball! I know, we don't really play in much rain like you do in soccer and football, but it's supposed to be cold and rainy during those sports!
Oh, and of course the poor girls, with their sleeveless tops and shorts, their hands too cold to feel the ball. Time for the under armor!
The latest article is ready. Hope you enjoy. it.
