I don't like my natural skin color, but that's because I'm extremely pale with no natural blush to my complexion. I always look sickly without makeup. The only exception is after a good workout, which sends some blood to my face!

So really, I don't like my complexion.

You do have to admit, though, that many people have personal preferences. Some are more attracted to blue eyed blondes, some love big brown eyes and chocolate skin tones.

If you read my article on Global Beauty and follow the link to Marquardt Beauty Analysis , you'll see that color is never mentioned as a factor in defining the ideal beauty.

The texture of the skin, is really what makes it so beautiful to me, personally...

I've always thought biracial children (especially caucasian and African American) have the most beautiful skin. That "cafe au lait" color is just so flattering. I always picture Halle Berry (although, to be honest I don't know whether she is biracial or not...)

But back when I was a teen (once upon a time) I competed in the Miss Teen pageant. The girl I most remember from that was biracial - and not only was her skin color pretty, but her complexion was flawless, even without makeup!

I've been jealous ever since. whistle

I agree with Beautybasics that color is never
mentioned as a factor in defining the ideal beauty.
I think that the most important for me is healthy skin,
cheerful and smiling face.

I agree with this statement. When I'm attracted to someone I don't consciously consider the color of their skin. Looking back I like women from both ends of the spectrum from very pale porcelain to deep mahogany. As for men I guess I've always preferred tanned to deeper tones.

I can't pick a different color. I think that is limiting which I realize is what you are trying to do for discussions sake (the original question asker, not the quoter from above). All I can say for certainty is that I've never been partial to really pale faced men but that certainly wouldn't be my first thought when meeting someone.

It's an interesting question.
