Hatsumomo! Which LJ CF community is it? (and may I say...that after being here and seeing the parental infiltration, I am SO grateful for the "friends only" option on Livejournal...ah, to be able to speak one's mind without some breeder coming in, seeing it, and freaking out!)

I also believe that this board should be exclusively for those who are married with no kids, hence the title of this particular forum

Well, actually, I think this forum should be called "no kids," period. If only those who were married were allowed, I'd never get to be here...

said that most of us CF do realize how hard it is to have children and that's why we're not having them. I got the general, "You don't know how hard it is until you do it." With all due respect, there are things I don't need to do to understand how hard it is. I don't need to become a surgeon to understand how complicated and how the slightest slip can cause death

Good point, and I'll add to it, to encompass those parents who say "don't tell me what to do, you don't even have kids!": you don't need to be a brain surgeon to know that a guy sawing through the brain stem with a scalpel is a Bad Idea(tm). And just as you don't need to be a surgeon to recognize bad surgery, you don't need to be a parent to recognize bad parenting. So there.

Katja, there are many CF LJ communities. I belong to the one that is just "childfree." But there are a lot more. There's even cf_pagans and cfartists and things like that.

I'm emtqueen85 on LJ, btw.

I was on that LJ community myself for awhile, but I found it hard to keep up with all the communities, so I left.

My LJ is prosodic, but I'm currently friends only. I would be pleased to have any of you for friends though.

I'm sorry... When I read 'cfartists' I wanted to join immediately...

I read it differently and so, wondered what a 'c fartist' was, you see....

Yep, that's the one I'm on too. I thought of joining CF_Hardcore as well, but I didn't feel like trying to keep up with two high-volume communities.

And, I dunno. I can see the idea of letting anyone post here, but sometimes you just need to rant and don't want to have to worry about whether someone's going to wander in and get [censored]...

Well freespirit, looks like you had a bit of a tussle with some moms. Too bad for them, they chose to do the parent thing and some, I suspect as someone stated, didn't look before they leaped. It's true - it's not all fun and kodak moments is it?
Well, who is the more logical here? Apparently not some of the moms spouting off. So just because I'm not a dad I don't know about raising kids? Excuse me but my memory isn't that bad that I don't remember what it was like growing up as a child. No one had better lay that one on me. I know perfectly well what it is like being a parent because I SAW what mine had to do to raise me and my siblings. And I certainly remember the responses I had to their skills, rules, and methods. We were not allowed to misbehave at all.
When dad said do something, there was no "but ..." allowed.
You just did it. There is a sorry lack of discipline sometimes out there with kids. Parents with no backbone. I know exactly what my parents did to raise me, and if I had chosen to have kids, their methods would be my rulebook. I have no arguements with how I was brought up. What a silly comment to say we don't know anything about parenthood. Last I knew, that's how mine got me here. Just because I was on the receiving end doesn't mean I have no concept of how it's done.
Those comments seem to suggest that parenthood is something that goes on in some sort of "laboratory environment" that you look in on - like you don't have exposure to it at all because you aren't "included" in it.

So, there's my rant.
I look forward to more of your posts, freespirit.

parenting isnt for everyone,it would be a rather boring world if we were all the same.
what annoys me is there are people who have kid after kid and they cant even look after themselves then there are people like me who struggle to have children.
kids these days have no boundaries parents have no control what is this world coming too know wonder there are generations who dont want children!!!
