The D V D's and C D's that we buy in the United States, can they be used in Poland? Do they have another type, than we have here? Please advise.

Only on some DVD you can play Europeans CD. We have on which we can play Polish movies. I am not sure exactly how it works, I need to ask my hubby.

The DVD players are restricted to geographical regions.This is done through software.

The US is region 1 and most players here will only play DVD with region one coding.

However, if you have or acquire a player that is multi-region then it is possible.

Another problem is: The US uses NTSC as a format for displaying video. Europe uses PAL. Some players do both. <img src="/images/graemlins/computer.gif" alt="" />
