Hey there. I thought you might like to have a poll -- about the Worst Baby Names you think you've ever heard!

Of course, these would be your humble opinions, but that's ok.

I have some doozies that I'll write in this post. We can add other baby names that you suggest. Then we'll put all the names into a poll and find out what "our baby names community" thinks are the WORST names!

Worst baby name IMO:

Dorcus (female), I think we can see all the names the kids at school (and everywhere else) might call her....

A teacher friend of mine said she had a student named Female - pronunced fa-mall-ly. The parents thought that the hospital named the baby --- female. <img src="/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" />

Gosh, there's quite a few names that I don't like. Hazel, for one (which is what Julia Roberts named one of her twins.)

My first husband told me a funny story: his Mom was in the hospital having one of her children. A lady was in at the same time as her, and spotted what she thought was a "pretty name". She named her child "Urine" (thinking it was pronounced yourEEN.

This is supposedly a true story - A woman from Cuba had twins in a hospital in Florida. She was happy to be in the U.S. and wanted to give her children American names. She asked a nurse to help her by advising her of good names -
With this nurse's help, their names were pronounced:
Aran'-zhaa-lo and Lamon'-zhaa-lo - Spelled, they were "Orange Jello" and "Lemon Jello." Pretty bad, huh?

i heard the one about female b4, i dont like julias sons name--phin? waz that suppossed 2 mean? is he looking like a fish these days? i ran into a girl at the local mall had a adorable lil boy. his name was GARRICK!! not very cute, but i said it was interseting, didnt wanna hurt her feelings. my great great great grandpas name was christopher columbus!

Tiflyn, Finn is a very common Irish name. The feminine form of Finn (or Fionn) is Fiona. So the name Finn or Phinn does not sound strange to me (I love Celtic names and love to research them). Phinnaeous (the name Julia gave to her son) sounds more greek, but I could be wrong. I like it. But then again I like VERY uncommon names and do not care for common names like Michael John or Steven or Rebecca Jessica and Melissa. I also loved how Gwenyth Paltrow named her daughter Apple... I think that is a very cute name. Another celebrity childs name that I loved was Debra Messings baby boy named Roman (I think Kate Hudson also named her son that too).

Worst celebrity baby name - Jermajesty (Michael Jackson's nephew)

Name I can't name my son because everyone is using it now... Roman (and that's his dad's name)
