Hello. I am also new to this whole LC way of life. I just started it this week (after reading various posts, etc). I am only looking to lost maybe 5 pounds or so and I'm also adding excercise into my schedule (lots of walking mainly). But I am having some difficulty and confusion.
I understand that sugars are meant to be limited but to what extent? And how strict do I need to be in the early part of this program if my weight loss goal is relatively low?
I ask because I have been limiting my sugars greatly (a huge change for me) and find myself having a shakey, sluggish, low blood sugar feeling a lot of the time. I am still drinking a glass of dry white wine a day and an occasional yogurt. I felt so low last night (after a full meal of veggies, tomatos, and cheeses) that I ate a small piece of chocolate and I swear I could feel the sugar rushing through my veins and bringing me back to life. Am I simply feeling the effects of a sugar withdrawl (and it will pass)? Or am I doing something wrong?
(I am otherwise eating a lot of fish, veggies, eggs, and soy products)
Any advice?
