Hi,

My name is Aaron Marshall. I compose and produce many different types of music. They all have something in common. They're created with great passion, and depth. As the years have passed I find less and less people are interested in my type of music. The ones that do make a connection seem to be really intense about it. I've been reading through some posts here and find an overall positive attitude. I'd like to share some of my writings with you.

I think this latest tune I've been working on really has something:

You can check out some other clips at: http://noct.us/

Thank you for your time!

-Aaron

Hi Aaron!

Welcome to the New Age Forum.

I couldn't open up some of the files on your site, so I stopped trying, but I was able to open up Maddening, and really enjoyed that clip! Very beautiful. It reminded me of the instrument known as a Chapman stick.

I need to let you know right up front that I'm not a fan of "space" music by itself. (I don't want you to take my comments personally!) As far as Shimmering Artic--I'm not big on it, but many are fans of that genre of New Age music. My comment is not a reflection of your song or creativity as much as it is a reflection of my preferences. (I do love the title, though. I get vivid pictures from it!)

Thanks very much for sharing your work with us!

Hi Janet,

I totally understand. Actually, that's not the type of music I normally do. I do like that style. I usually do film score type of tunes, with new age tendencies.

What are some new age artists you really like? I'm always eager to listen to new material.

Thanks for taking the time to listen.

Hi there Aaron,

You're most welcome. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I sometimes get swamped with emails, writing, and the board and some posts slip through the cracks unfortunately.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of New Age music (mostly enjoying hard rock and some pop/alternative), but I've just discovered Lesium and they are awesome. I also enjoy Enya, stuff on Pure Moods, Enigma, etc.

Have you done scores on any movies I might have seen? It sounds like an intriguing process. Do you work from the completed movie and then compose based on inspiration?
