I think the Clue board game is great because it is different every time and you get to use deductive reasoning to solve the mystery.

Does it bother you that the game is based on a murder?

No, that doesn't bother me at all. It's all so hokey anyway, that there's no way we (my family and I) ever even consider it as real. We really enjoy this game.

The melodrama aspect keeps the game fun and unreal.

I completely agree, it's way too hokey and melodramatic to make it seem any sort of real. In any case, the game is too difficult for younger children anyway, by the time kids are old enough to handle the strategy and reading skills required for the game, they're old enough to know the difference between real and make believe.

Of course it does not, it is just a game! It was my favorite board game as a child and I never once thought about killing someone, I never even think that it was horrific, it was just a fun game to play and it still fun to play!

No...curious question though.
