How many of us are aware of what our senses' are telling us? Beside your everyday life, what else is part of each day that is slipping on by?
Can you name at least 5 things that awaken you and touch your inner child or your soul. What senses' are you using for this awakening?
Here are my five, won't you join me?
1. Seeing a leafless tree and looking up into it from underneath its' bare branches. The shape, the emptyness, the color of winter grey. Branches that will once again have buds that will shapen and hold the nest of a family of birds'.
2.Finding a patch of Daffodils' or purple Iris growing near the steps of an abandoned old piece of property. Wondering who once lived there, maybe with a family, and grew old. Were the flowers' given for Mother's Day or a birthday perhaps. She or he is really still there, left something beautiful if we notice.
3.The song of a Mocking Bird. He imitates the songs of so many other birds. Once I counted ten different songs and warbles in the early morning. He entertained me as I sipped my coffee and listened to nature awakening.
4.An approaching storm. The grumbling in the distance and the smell of rain in the air. The first drops falling like pebbles from the sky. Then the down pour bring water to the thirsty grass, flowers' and trees'. The glistening earth as the rains pass.
5.Seeing a dew covered field of spider webs. Each web a nights work and the glistening dew, gleaming in the morning sunlight. The little droplets of water, like tiny diamonds, glittering.

I hope, if someone reads this, they too can reach inside and find a small pleasure in their world to post.

My senses are something I count in gratitude with my blessings each night-

Five things that awaken my spirit... hmmm, off the top of my head, I'd say:
1. First, the warmth of the sunshine- in any form, really. On my skin, in through a window and dappled on the wall, glistening on a lake, pond, or ocean- or above the clouds when flying in an airplane
2. next, colors
in art, in the sunrise, sunset, and in my husband's beautiful eyes
3. soothing and uplifting sounds like
Enya, Caribbean steel drum, waves, laughter, the sweet sound of my husband's reassuring voice
4. A warm and affectionate cuddle
5. and for tastes, cheese and ice cream are on the top of my list of favorites...
