Hi, I'm new. I thought this was a fun thread. My baby son and I have fun doing laundry. I show him each article of clothing or cloth diaper before I fold it, and tell him what it is, its color, its us. Then I rub it against his cheek or tummy. It's great fun.

Hi Nile! Wow, that sounds really nice and is a good learning/bonding thing for your child and you! It reminds me of that cool commercial on TV right now with a father being really cute with his little girl during laundry time and the mother peeking in. It'sa really cute commercial and it sounds like just what you are doing.

I had another thought here to add fun to laundry. there are those new fabric softeners with aromatherapy scents like lavendar, vanilla, jasmine, etc. I really like those, since I am very scent oriented. It adds an element of the spa experience to doing laundry. Just a little. But it helps.

here is my recent laundry-related article on my discovery that I prefer stacking washer/dryer sets over full size - http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art42167.aspOf course, if I had kids, this would not be quite as convenient...

Ah laundry lol... I work at a hotel in the laundry room. It's a great job (for now lol) because there's no one there to bother me (other than the guy who keeps bringing in the dirty laundry!!) But I just have my favourite music going and sing and dance around a bit lol... it's great fun. But then when it comes time to do my own laundry at home, I normally do it on one of my days off. Generally the second day, because I take the first day and do a whole lot of nothing. Then on the second day I usually do a couple loads of laundry and while they are washing and drying I clean the rest of the house. Because of working at a hotel I tend to be able to clean pretty quickly so in the morning on my second day off I generally just play on the computer, draw, read, have a bath etc, then I do the laundry and clean up and make dinner with in a couple hours in the afternoon. Then hubby thinks I'd been busy ALLL day long when it really only took a couple hours

There's just something relaxing about folding a nice warm load of cotton towels fresh out of the dryer. I love to fold and listen to crafting and decorating television shows. Scented fabric softeners have made the laundry even nicer, but the television shows have gotten less entertaining. I just read a blog post about this atBellaOnline ALERT: Raw URLs are not allowed in these forums for security reasons. Please use UBB code.
