Massachusettes requires either a Massachusetts Drivers Licence or a Massachusetts Liquor ID to purchase alcohol .... this law seems to have been put into place for College students from other states.

Maine has a similar law.

I couldn't find reference to it being the only for of id necessary to purchase alcohol.

ummmm.... nope!

This state will not allow you to buy alcohol (except at a bar) unless you have this liquor license. So, if someone is from another state they can't buy alcohol, even with a valid drivers license.

I did a search on Yahoo! of all things - I cannot remember the syntax that I used, but the Vermont Liquor Law website came right up!
