The first international game, the "Westchester Cup", was played in Rhode Island in 1886.

Rhode Island can claim a number of sports firsts. Among them: the first polo game to be played in America (1876)

Water Polo was begun in the U.S. in Boston, MASS.
Horse Polo, I must agree, was started in 1876 in New York City at Dickel's Riding Academy.
And, bicycle polo was brought to the U.S. in 1897 as a conditioning game for horse polo players.

Go, Cheryl!!!

Ok, this is the answer I'm taking. I got the information from a Rhode Island site. (New York isn't a New England state, btw) So that puts Chris on the board.

And what ever you do ... do NOT exceed the Connecticut speed limit .... <G> ... and don't run out of gas in Ct. either or it'll cost you a fortune.

Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont are the only states to be considered in this trivia game. (These are what are generally considered "New England".) Got it.

For personal reasons, I am bowing out of the remainder of this game.

I wish each of the remaining contestants the best of luck!

hehehe - isn't that funny? That's the correct answer. Also, radar dectectors are illegal in Connecticut, so don't get caught with one of those...

Here's the current score:

Kitty 3
Cheryl 4
Chris 1

Watch for the next trivia question...
