Bottom line is I want to make sure no one in his family truly feels that way towards my race, my family, or me. At this point, I don�t expect an apology because frankly, I don�t believe she has it in her; but I sure do expect to be treated with respect and to feel welcome at the homes of my DH�s family. And if I am not, I�d like to know that too and then we just won�t go there. That is not pride; it is self-respect.
