I just played it, it was in the December issue of OPM. Has anyone else played this? What do you think?
You get to play two missions, and both of them were pretty interesting. But for me, I was kinda turned off. I wished they'd kept the turn based battle system like in FFX. It was a bit too fast. Probably because I'm new playing it, but still, I can tell it will be a bit too frenetic, even when I get used to it. I can't even tell what's happening, and every battle ended as a surprise. I had no clue what was going on bc it was so fast.
You have no time to watch and calculate HP or attacks, and although the dress system is neat, during battle it takes too much time to change costumes. While you're picking a costume, in the meantime the monster is attacking both Rikku and Paine.
I guess they went all out to try new things in FFX-2, but I really wished they'd kept the same battle system. I dunno. That's just me.
But other than that, the game looks like a lot of fun. The dialogue is pretty funny. It's hilarious to have Yuna put on the singer costume and sing to the enemy. Well, it was funny when I did it cause the battle was over but Yuna kept singing. Oh, and Paine is my new favorite character. I like her voice in the game.
